Planning a Mitzvah can be stressful since you are planning essentially two parties into one most times. You’re trying to plan for adults and children to have fun together. This is where Mike, with Magnetix DJ Services comes into play. Mike has been doing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs for over 20 years. He started out as a party host/dancer and grew quickly into being an emcee and DJ. Mike will deliver great Mitzvahs to make sure everyone is entertained. It starts from the beginning with sitting down with the parents and the young adults that are about to have their own Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, or yes sometimes planning a B’ Nai Mitzvahs. He believes communication is important beginning to end for having any successful party.
What are you looking at when considering hiring your DJ for your son’s or daughter’s Mitzvah? What is the outcome you desire for your party? If you have been to Mitzvah receptions that had a DJ, what was it that you didn’t like and what did you like?
These are some of the important questions that Mike will ask when meeting with you when considering DJ entertainment. Most parents and children have been to a variety of Mitzvah celebrations. They tend to pay attention when they attend other Mitzvahs. Often people can think entertainment is the last thing to book when it should be your second or third. When you’re paying for your reception location and catering, which is a large percentage of the cost for your Mitzvah, you need to make sure the entertainment will make it memorable. Guests when ask what they remember about any planned event will always say the venue and food. Those are typically tied for first. The second is always entertainment. Why? Your entertainment will always make or break your reception. An average reception here in Northeast Florida will go four hours separate from the actual Mitzvot. The first two hours are cocktail and dinner services. After that, you have two hours of dancing. If the entertainment is not good you not only waste your hard-earned money on the reception venue but also on the entertainment. Plus, how disappointed not only you will be, but all your guests will be as well. Music is a common ground to bring people together but it’s even more important on what your DJ Plays. A Mitzvah brings all different age groups under one roof. Mike has songs that have proven to attract large numbers of guests and often everyone on the dance floor. It’s important to play songs that a large crowd will recognize and at the same time feel comfortable enough to enjoy and dance together. Remember, there is only on average two hours of dancing so a DJ must be precise on the songs they choose.
Playing the correct music to get guests dancing is a fraction of why Magnetix DJ Services is successful. As Mike mentioned earlier discussing the psychological side of dancing, he is an interactive emcee and DJ. He and his Party Hosts do not hide behind the booth all night. They will interact with your guests throughout the party. Their job, from all the years of experience which makes it succeed, is to break peoples’ insecurities down and feel confident dancing. Besides playing dinner games and making jokes here and there, Magnetix DJ Services will get out in front of the guests to draw their attention solely to Mike speaking on the microphone and performing with the Party Hosts. They will interact by showing certain dances or sing-alongs. This draws the attention away from the guests looking at each other dancing and feeling judged on how they dance and onto them where they’re teaching a dance that everyone does the same movement to along with the song. This secretly builds up the guests’ confidence to have them let loose and have some real genuine fun with dancing amongst themselves. It’s creating the spark to get the fire going. Mike and the Party Hosts will do that throughout the party. The Party Hosts will stay out on the dance floor while Mike continues to DJ, interacting with all the guests.
Other subjects that can be explained in detail at the meetings are what your DJ Entertainment will wear and what time they will set up. It’s important because Magnetix will dress appropriately and properly and never embarrass the client with how they dress. Arriving on time and not feeling rushed is also important. This will make sure they can set everything up and get the equipment working ahead of time. It’s always good to be prepared with back-up equipment in case there is anything he can’t fix; Mike will be able to have another reliable source to work from.
